Join the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Voices of Rhode Island Chapter for our 10th Annual Colorectal Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Warwick City Park, Warwick, Rhode Island. This is our major fund raising event.  Most proceeds go directly to colorectal cancer education and awareness in Rhode Island.

 

 

Please join the quest of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Voices of Rhode Island, to educate the public and support patients and caregivers battling colorectal cancer at our 10th Annual Colorectal Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run at City Park in Warwick on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. and begins at 10:00 a.m.

March - Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month:

  • Dress in Blue Day is always the first Friday in March
  • We schedule as many as possible health fairs to promote awareness
  •  
  • Health Exhibits/Education
  • Preventable. Treatable. Beatable.
  •  
  • At health fairs we supply information about our local Voices of RI and offer coloractal cancer literature, pill boxes, and pens while supplies last.
  •  
  • We participate in the annual Electric Boat health fair at the Quonset facility.
  •  
  • We support the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island Summit.

    Participate and furnish information about Colorectal Cancer

 

We participate in the Wellness Expo at the Crown Plaza to spread the word about colorectal cancer awareness and how it can be cured if found early through colonoscopy screening. There is a wide range of fitness categories represented that includes physical, nutritional, mental and spiritual as well as exhibits promoting all over well being.

 

Outreach

Voices of RI meets monthly to assist people affected with colorectal cancer or caregivers to provide information and support Voices of RI also donated $600.00 to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance National Blue Financial Assistance Fund to sponsor 3 Rhode Islander residents with Colon Cancer in need of supplemental income for expenses relating to their treatment.
